JEE Advanced Engineering Exam 2018 Notification

The Joint Entrance Examination JEE exam is bifurcated into 2 papers i.e JEE (Mains) and JEE (Advanced) exam. JEE (Mains) will be conducted on April 20, 2018. Students can attempt JEE (Main) for a maximum three times.

The online application process for JEE – Mains will begin from Dec 01, 2017 on jeemain.nic.in.  JEE Advanced exam will be a completely an online paper while the aspirants will have an option to give JEE – Mains paper either in online or offline mode.

Aspirants qualifying JEE-Mains, will be directly shortlisted for the JEE – Advanced phase. Performance of a candidate in JEE –  Advanced  examination will form the basis for admissions to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs.

Eligibility conditions (JEE – Advanced)

IIT Kanpur will be organizing the JEE – Advanced examination this year.  Candidates should be among the top 2,24,000* (including all categories) of  Paper-1 (JEE Mains) 2018 examination.

  • A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either  2017 or 2018.
  • Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1988.
  • Candidates can appear for JEE-Advanced for max. 2 times in consecutive years.
