Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – UG (NEET UG) exam will be conducted twice a year. According to the announcement, the best score obtained by the candidates in both the exams will be considered for admission. However, there might be a change in the plan. The NEET UG may not be conducted twice a year. The final decision over this topic is not released yet. The HRD minister is likely to take a decision about this soon.
In a press conference that took place recently, the Union HRD Minister stated that the newly formed examination conducting agency National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET), CMAT exam and UGC NET. THe plan was to conduct the entrance exam for medical/dental twice in an year to give better chance to the students.
